Raheem Sterling: 6.5/10
Sterling was arguably the best player in Manchester City colours today. The 22-year-old was dangerous at times when he ran at the defenders and was active in the vicinity of the box.
Kevin De Bruyne: 6/10
The baby-faced assassin was silenced today by a resolute and stubborn Toffees’ backline and despite showing moments of magic initially, he started to lack ideas in the second half.
However, he did create chances which were eventually squandered and tried to resurrect City’s hopes time and again.
Pablo Zabaleta: 4/10
It was seen today that age is not doing any favour to the veteran Argentine. Zabaleta lacked the speed or skills to contain a jovial and energetic Everton side and suffered terribly.
David Silva: 5/10
The midfield magician forked out no magic today. The Spaniard struggled to pull the strings together and crumbled in the second half.
Yaya Touré: 5/10
Touré attacking instincts are still very much in the groove, but it is the defensive side of the game that he failed to address once again and can be held liable for Everton’s second goal.
Sergio Agüero: 5/10
There were moments of magic by Agüero at times but remained ineffective for the major chunk of the game. He lacked the cutting edge and did not do enough to bury the chances.
Substitution
Kelechi Iheanacho: 4/10
The youngster’s stay on the pitch had little significance on the game after the was brought into the game with around thirty minutes left to be played.
