Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Benfica keeper Andre Ferreira. The Reds have signed Loris Karius from Mainz in the summer but the German keeper has failed to impress manager Jurgen Klopp.
Karius was signed by Klopp because Simon Mignolet had been very shaky between the sticks and although Klopp was forced to reinstate the Belgian at the Liverpool goal after Karius made some stupid mistakes, the goalkeeping problem remains unsolved.
Liverpool dropped points against Sunderland as they were pegged back twice by the Black Cats despite taking the lead on both occasions.
Now, it seems that Liverpool has to be flawless for the rest of the season if they are to have any chance of overhauling Chelsea for the title.
Ferreira hasn’t got a chance in the Benfica first team so far. He is right now playing with the Benfica B team and has a contract with the club till 2021.
Klopp is reportedly very impressed with the keeper who has made 19 appearances for the Benfica B-side.
