Chelsea are the frontrunners to land Wolfsburg defender Ricardo Rodriguez. The Blues have been in contact with his agent and are confident that a deal could happen in upcoming days.
Antonio Conte has been searching a notable name who could fit in his strategy. Chelsea have upturned their last season’s form and have won 13 games on the trot.
Arsenal have also been monitoring the player for the last couple of months and are one of the serious contenders for the player.
Although Marcos Alonso has been excellent as the left wing back this season there is no serious backup in that position. Cesar Azpilicueta has moved to a more centrally position and Conte needs more reinforcements on the left side of the defence. A bid of £21m could be on the cards in the coming days.
Rodriguez has been one of the players who has been impressive this term in what otherwise have been a very difficult season for the German side.
