Romeu (7/10)- A calm and reassuring figure in the midfield, Romeu had his moments where he showed his flashy game, but it didn’t amount to much ultimately.
Clasie (7.5/10)- One of the best technical players in the Southampton squad.
Like most forwards, he too was quite anonymous throughout the game. But, he has this beautiful ability to change the pace of the game with his sublime touches.
Redmond (6.5/10)- He wasn’t bad but people will remember this game for his easy miss.
He got a sitter where he had to head the ball in and he squandered it.
Rodriguez (7/10)- He often looked dangerous in the Everton’s half and took much of the burden for Saints’ attack. However, he was unlucky not to grab an equaliser early in the second half.
Tadic (7.5/10)- Southampton’s midfield couldn’t provide him with the right chances. He looked frustrated all evening, and we got to sees some flashes only in the second half.
Stephens (7)- Had to come on early in the game for Soares’ injury and did the job quite well at the back.
