Arsenal are preparing a move for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata. The Spaniard hasn’t been utilised properly by Madrid this season.
The Spanish giants re-signed the player from Juventus but he has only played a handful of matches this season. Arsene Wenger has been tracking the youngster for a long time and had approached for a transfer in this summer but a deal failed to materialise.
Wenger reportedly had a bid rejected for Andrea Belotti and is targeting Morata as an alternative option. The Frenchman currently has Olivier Giroud and Lucas Perez as a proper centre-forward options and wants to add some more attacking reinforcements.
The 24-year old has been in the search of first team football and the Premier League would be the best platform to showcase his talent.
Morata spent two successful seasons at Juventus and has flourished at the Turin-based club. With Champions League coming up, they’d need depth in their squad to compete for honours as they are still playing in as many as three competitions.
