Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Cohen Bramall from non-league side Hednesford Town. The Gunners have reportedly paid a fee of £40,000 for the services of the left back.
Bramall, 20, will be earning a £3000 per week and will join the club’s U23 side in a bid to seal a place in the first team. The Gunners now have Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs as the two left backs. Monreal has been consistent for the Gunners on the left flank this season.
Bramall was called up for a trial and Arsene Wenger was so impressed with the player that he decided to offer him a contract. The 20-year old could be a long term replacement for Kieran Gibbs who has been linked with a move out of the club.
Hailing the sign of the player Wenger said, “He is a young, promising left back who has a lack of experience at the top level but who has fantastic ingredients.
“He has tremendous pace, a good left foot, a great desire to do well.”
