Antonio Conte has said that Tottenham Hotspur will provide stiff competition when the two sides will meet on Wednesday. Chelsea are on the verge of creating history as a win against Spurs will help them post their 14th win this season breaking the record of Arsenal.

Chelsea’s excellent form has seen them winning matches against Manchester City and Manchester United. The Blues, who finished 10th  last season are right now five points clear of Liverpool with a game in hand.

On the other side, Tottenham will go into the game on the back of a 4-1 thrashing of Watford. Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been in tremendous form of late and could provide a fierce battle to Chelsea.

Conte said, “It’s another challenge, another type of football to face [from Stoke] because Tottenham like to play from the back

“They like to put a lot of pressure on when you are in possession. We have to prepare very well because this game for sure will be very, very tough for us, but also for them.

“For sure [this match] is the biggest test. I think for us now every game is the biggest test. [The Stoke match] is another good example for us because you have to beat, to fight every game to win.

“Tottenham is a good team. Last season they could have won the title and this season they have a stronger team. For sure we will see a good game.”
