Pages: 1 2

Celtic maintained their unbeaten record in domestic competitions with a late comeback win against Motherwell last week. It seemed like Motherwell could finally put an end to Celtic’s unbeaten record in domestic competitions but the Bhoys fought from two goals down and claimed the win in the final minute thanks to a thunderous strike from Aussie playmaker Tom Rogic.

Celtic bid Europe goodbye from the group stage of the Champions League with a 1-1 draw away from home against mighty English giants Manchester City. Even though Celtic’s European campaign proved to be a short one, Brendan Rodgers has already become a cult hero at Parkhead for the work he has done at the club in such a short period of time.

The Hoops will travel to Firhill Stadium on Friday to take on struggling Partick Thistle. The hosts are winless in their last four games and find themselves 11th in the table, sitting level on points with bottom of the table Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Celtic have a brilliant record against Partick, winning all nine games against them till date and look capable enough to win their 10th with ease.

Here is the predicted Celtic lineup against Partick Thistle.

Scottish custodian Craig Gordon will keep his place under the bar ahead of Dorus de Vries. Erik Sviatchenko returned from illness to feature against Manchester City in the midweek and should retain his place at the back. Jozo Simunovic should start alongside the Dane at the centre. Swedish international Mikael Lustig is likely to start at right-back. Emilio Izaguirre is likely to start at left-back with Kieran Tierney out injured.
