The mighty German champions Bayern are currently experiencing rough times as the men from Bavaria lost to Champions League minnows FC Rostov 3:2 after being beaten at the weekend by Borussia Dortmund. Serdar Azmoun shined as he scored a goal along with Poloz and Noboa. Here are the match ratings for the Bayern players in their defeat to Rostov.
Sven Ulreich (6/10): Showed glimpses of promise at times, but was awful overall. Made a few well-timed runs for his side but didn’t make any good saves. This shows Manuel Neuer’s value to the team.
Rafinha (6.5/10): Was good with his offensive play. Even though he couldn’t provide the telling touch to his offensive contribution which might have handed Bayern the upper edge on the flanks.
Jerome Boateng (5/10): Once again, the German international disappointed coach Carlo Ancelotti with a terrible performance. Boateng’s slip cost Bayern the equaliser of the first goal, then he gave away the penalty for the second Rostov goal. Horrible performance.
Juan Bernat (7.5/10): Arguably the best Bayern player on the pitch, Bernat started ahead of David Alaba and impressed with an excellent performance on the left flank. Also made an important goal-line clearance to keep the game scoreless early on, before providing great composure to earn himself a goal later in the game.
Philipp Lahm (6.5/10): The Bayern captain started in midfield and was responsible for the Bayern possession but lacked creativity at the end. Also missed a header, from which he should have scored.
