Thiago Alcantara (7/10): Thiago was decent in midfield. Despite being the key in Bayern’s possession, the Spanish International failed to provide any dangerous passes to breach the Rostov defence.

Conceded the free kick which resulted in the Rostov winner.

Renato Sanches (7/10): Put in a good shift in midfield and glimpses of his talent. His probing run resulted in Bayern’s first goal and his link up play was really good.

Got replaced with Thomas Muller late on.

Douglas Costa (7/10): Was a threat on the wing. Kept Kudryashov fully occupied on the right-hand side. Scored the opener with a confidence finish but it was his mistake which led to Rostov’s equaliser moments later.

Robert Lewandowski (6/10): Did a pretty bad job leading the line. Failed to beat his markers in defence and mostly dawdled with the ball, had little joy up front.

Franck Ribery (7.5/10): Ribery was good against Rostov.

Caused terror on the left side and assisted Bernat’s goal. But most of his bright moments came in the first half as he seemed to fade away in the second half.
