Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has started training with the first team alongside Henrikh Mkhitaryan after a brief exile.
Mourinho has sidelined Bastian since his arrival to Manchester United. He hasn’t featured in any matches this season. The midfielder was not included in the Europa League squad and even was asked to train with the U-21 team.
Former manager Louis Van Gaal signed him from Bayern Munich last season but he spent a large amount of time on sidelines due to an injury. The German midfielder’s training with the first team could be the indication that Mourinho might consider him giving a chance after Ander Herrera won’t be available in the next match as he was red carded against Burnley.
Earlier Bastian was offered to Sporting Lisbon on a free transfer but he rejected the proposal.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan was also seen training with his United teammates. There have been confusion regarding him as he was linked with a move away.
Phil Jones has also started training after had been sidelined due to a long injury layoff.
