Midfield
Andy Halliday should start in defensive midfield. In Joey Barton’s absence with a ban imposed by the club, Halliday has done an excellent job in holding midfield of late and will be looking to keep up his excellent form.
Energetic midfield Jason Holt should keep his place in the middle of the park. Young box to box midfielder Josh Windass will complete the midfield trio.
Attack
Joe Garner started up front in the midweek and failed to impress.
So, we expect Martyn Waghorn to make a return to the starting XI up front.
Harry Forrester should keep his place in the starting XI but he will switch to the right flank to accommodate Barrie McKay in the starting XI on the left flank.
