After a bump against Middlesbrough last weekend at their home soil, Arsenal will look to restore their winning run this weekend when they face Sunderland away at the Stadium of Light. Arsene Wenger had expressed his frustration with the stalemate against Boro and will look to make tactical changes in their approach when they face David Moyes’ Sunderland.

Arsenal are currently level on points with Manchester City on the top of the Premier League table and are second only by the goal difference while Sunderland dwells at the bottom of the table, yet to get a single win this season.

Arsenal have the best away record this season with 10 points collected from a total of 4 matches played away followed by Liverpool, who have the same number of points with 5 games played.

Sunderland’s home record, on the other hand, have been disastrous to state the least. They have just 1 points in the 4 home matches.

Arsenal are missing the services of Per Mertesacker and Danny Welbeck. Their newly added midfielder Granit Xhaka will remain suspended in this match.

Defence

Wenger rested every one of his starting lineup that took the field against Boro last weekend including all four of his backline in the midweek’s English league Cup against Reading FC.

Wenger will be fielding the strong back four of Nacho Monreal, Laurent Koscielny, Shkodran Mustafi and Hector Bellerin in his defense.

Peter Cech will be taking his place between the posts after his brilliant display against Boro last weekend.
