If you ask a Liverpool fan that which has the toughest away game for them in recent years, the answer would be Crystal Palace. In the last few years, the Eagles have hurt the Reds time and time again be it a home game or an away one.
In their last ten meetings, Liverpool have won just four times while the Eagles were victorious on five occasions. Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are flying high at the moment and are on the back of a 10-game unbeaten streak in all competitions but the German must take the Eagles very seriously as they have a history of upsetting the Merseyside club.
Crystal Palace lost both of their previous two Premier League games after having a five-game unbeaten streak in the league. The South London club are banked 11th on the table now with 11 points from 9 games whereas Liverpool are third but are level on points with the top two Manchester City and Arsenal.
A much-changed Liverpool side managed to beat Spurs 2-1 in the midweek in the League Cup and we expect Klopp to recall his first-team players in the starting XI against Palace.
Here is the predicted Liverpool lineup against Crystal Palace.
Defence
Simon Mignolet got his chance under the bar in the midweek against Spurs in the League Cup and had an impressive game but the Belgian will drop out of the starting XI as Loris Karius will take his place back.
Nathaniel Clyne will start at right back. The centre-back pairing will be Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren. Experienced and versatile James Milner will ply his trade at left-back.
