Still unbeaten but too many draws for Tottenham
Spurs had another frustrating result this weekend. The Lilywhites hosted Premier League holders Leicester City but had to settle for just one point after their 1-1 stalemate. Out of their ten games in the Premier League, Spurs had five draws which is far from impressive.
They are still unbeaten but considering the number of draws they have had, no one will be gloating about their unbeaten record as they have simply failed to find the goals in star striker Harry Kane’s absence.
Sunderland remain winless and have an unwanted feat
With their 1-4 loss against Arsenal, Sunderland’s situation has gone bad to worse. The Black Cats are yet to win a single game this season and it looks like they will not be able to dodge relegation this time out like they did in the last few seasons. After Jermain Defoe’s 65th minute goal from the spot to equalise against the Gunners, Sunderland needed to pick up their game and take it to the North London side but they failed and eventually conceded three more to lose 4-1.
The Wearside club are in deep, deep danger right now and have to improve really soon or else there will no way out from the danger zone for them. With the loss, Sunderland now have the unwanted feat of making the worst start to the Premier League ever!
Pressure is back on Slaven Bilic West Ham
After a poor start to the season, West Ham won three games in a row for the first time this campaign. They headed to Everton this weekend who were looking off-colour lately and it was perhaps their best chance to gain a momentum but they again disappointed.
Slaven Bilic’s boys lost 2-0 to the Toffees on Sunday and remain 16th in the table. With some tough games coming up in the next month or so, Bilic will be under some scrutiny as their league position is unlikely to improve if they perform like they did at Goodison Park.
