Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has rubbished the claims that Jose Mourinho has lost his Midas touch. Mourinho was appointed after United decided to part ways with former manager Louis Van Gaal. Mourinho previously won the Premier League with Chelsea but had a disastrous start as defending champions in the next season. He lost his job after failing to replicate his success.

Jürgen Klopp believes that Mourinho still has a lot to give to Football. “It’s bullsh*t. No, but rubbish. Who says this? He has started badly at United? He knows how successful football works. To like or not like the way he plays, why should he care? Why should he care?”

The 53-years-old Portuguese had a not so good start with United. After winning the first three matches The Red Devils then lost consecutive three matches in the hand of Manchester City, Feyenoord and Watford. “They won their first games. So now you are giving B grades for winning? I try to play similar football to now with my former team and when we faced Real Madrid it was unbelievably difficult to play them.”

This will be Mourinho’s first game at Anfield after taking the charge at Old Trafford. The German thinks that United have some really good players and have all the ingredients to challenge them, “They are Man United and they have the quality and offensive players who are strong and quick and technically good. They have everything you need to play football.

“In the end a game can change when one team goes into the lead or something, so we don’t know exactly what they will do but I am sure they won’t come here to defend only.”
