Phil Jones who has been sidelined due to a knee injury is expected to be out for a longer period. Jones was included in the Premier League and Europa League squad but suffered knee ligament damage in training and since then hasn’t featured in a single match for Manchester United. A knee brace has been reportedly fitted to his knee to quicken the recovery process

His career has been plagued by injury.  He arrived at United from Blackburn Rovers for $21.45 million and has played in 141 matches for them. Jones has also been capped 20 times for the Three Lions. Jose Mourinho has preferred Eric Bailly, Daley Blind and Chris Smalling ahead of him and according to reports the defender could be offloaded in January.

A host of Club including Arsenal, Liverpool and Stoke City are interested in the defender. Stoke are struggling in the season and would love to have the defender in their team.
