Two newly promoted sides Burnley and Hull City will battle it out at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon. Both made immediate comebacks to the Premier League although Hull City have enjoyed a much better comeback campaign in the top tier. the Tigers shook the world with a brilliant 2-1 victory against Premier League holders Leicester City on the opening day and then they saw off Swansea City with a 2-0 scoreline. Mike Phelan’s side almost secured a draw against mighty Manchester United but a very late winner from youngster Marcus Rashford robbed two points from them.

Burnley, on the other hand, have won just a game from their first 3 games, they now have 3 points from a possible 9 although their only win was against giants Liverpool. The Clarets will enter this game from a 3-0 bashing at the hands of Antonio Conte’s Chelsea. Hull City had been surprisingly silent throughout the transfer window but made six signings in the last two days of the summer transfer window. We have to wait and see if Mike Phelan hands debuts to any of his new signings against Burnley.

Here is the predicted Hull City lineup against Burnley.

Eldin Jakupovic has done really well between the sticks so far this season but the arrival of David Marshall puts the Swiss keeper’s place in jeopardy. However, Jakupovic is likely to keep his place under the bar with the form he is in right now. Harry Maguire is back from injury but Jake Livermore, after the incredible job he has done this season in an unfamiliar centre-back role, is likely to keep his place at the back alongside Curtis Davies. Ahmed Elmohamady and Andrew Robertson are likely to keep their places in the full-back positions.

Tom Huddlestone has been brilliant in defensive midfield for Hull City so far this season. The former Spurs midfielder will keep his place and his key job will be to protect the back four. Hull City’s club record signing Ryan Mason is likely to make his debut in the middle of the park in place of Samuel Clucas. David Meyler is likely to retain his place.

Samuel Clucas did a great job in central midfield so far this season but with the arrival of Ryan Mason, he is likely to be deployed on his favoured left flank. Robert Snodgrass is likely to start on the right flank. Abel Hernandez will spearhead Hull City’s attack against the Clarets.
