Lazio are set to offer midfielder Lucas Biglia a new contract. Biglia is a believed to be a long-term target for Manchester United. He joined Lazio from Anderlecht and since then has been an important part of Lazio’s midfield.
United recently signed Paul Pogba for a world record fee of £89million but the lanky midfielder hasn’t made an impact yet. The 30-year old could be the ideal partner of Pogba. Lazio has valued the Argentine £20million and he can be the ideal replacement for Michael Carrick who is in the wrong end of his 30s.
Biglia who has 102 appearances for Lazio has also been linked with Arsenal. But with Granit Xhaka’s move to Arsenal, they seemed to have fend off their interest from the Argentine midfielder. Biglia’s current contract will expire in 2018 and it is reported that Lazio’s director Igli Tare is currently negotiating a deal with his agent Enzo Montepaone
