A skeptical mystic who likes to channel his inner loneliness into drumming and dissection of football games. Dreams of watching Tottenham play at the new White Hart Lane. Has spent a majority of the last two years on foul-mouthing Moussa Sissoko and worrying about his receding hairline.

Tottenham Hotspur replicated last season’s result against Stoke at the Bet365 stadium with another 4-0 win against the Potters. After an unconvincing first half, Tottenham turned the screws on the underwhelming Stoke side as Son scored twice with Alli and Kane getting a goal apiece as well. Pochettino will be really happy with his side’s performance after failing to hit the expected heights in terms of performance in the first three games. Below are Tottenham’s player ratings for their performance against Stoke City.

Hugo Lloris: 7.5/10

Hugo Lloris had little to do in the second half but the Frenchman did a good job coming off the line during set pieces. His decision making was excellent throughout.

Ben Davies: 7.5/10

The Welshman’s style was quite contrasting to Rose’s offensively influential play but the left back was decent defensively.

Toby Alderweireld: 8/10

The Belgian’s cross-field balls were again a constant theme throughout the game. Alderweireld was quite calm under pressure and did the defensive work really well.

Jan Vertonghen: 7.5/10

Jan Vertonghen initially struggled against Wilfried Bony trying to outmuscle him but grew into the game well. Vertonghen was quite calm under pressure during the second half when Tottenham were caught on the counter a few times.

Kyle Walker: 8/10

The right-back had another excellent game defensively and was also rewarded with an assist for his ventures upfield. He also made a good clearance off the line during the last minutes of the games.

Victor Wanyama: 6/10

The Nigerian was quite rash in his decision making as the gaffer subbed him off after being on a yellow card and a subsequent warning.

Eric Dier: 7.5/10

Eric Dier had a decent game overall as he slotted in the centre-back’s spots to cover up for split centre-backs.

Heung Min Son: 9/10

The South Korean was fantastic as he scored two excellent goals and also managed to bag an assist to his name. Son made some long marauding run forwards to drive Stoke’s defense wide. His performance gives Pochettino a good kind of a selection headache.

Dele Alli: 7.5/10

Initially, the youngster struggled. Despite getting into great areas, he missed a sitter as he struck wide in the first half. He made up for it with a decent finish past Shay Given for Tottenham’s third goal.

Christian Eriksen: 8.5/10

The Danish playmaker had an excellent game as the central attacking midfielder showed some glimpses of his old form. He provided Son with the assist for Tottenham’s first goal.

Harry Kane: 7.5/10

Kane has been playing in a deeper role with his back against the goal which has seen his goal scoring chances being limited. After failing to score in the first three games of the new season, he finally managed to get on the scoresheet with a simple tap in from 3 yards out.

Substitutes

Erik Lamela: 7.5/10

The Argentine got involved in the game after being subbed on in the 55th minute in place of Wanyama. He did well to control the tempo of the game.

Vincent Janssen: 7/10

Janssen did well in the last few minutes but didn’t have enough time to make any significant impact. He held the ball well during attacks.

Moussa Sissoko: 7/10

Sissoko didn’t have much to do when he came on but did well on his Tottenham debut when he came on for Eriksen in the 78th minute.
