Manchester United make their way to the KCOM Stadium as they strive to make it a hat-trick of wins under new manager Jose Mourinho. Two teams believed to be at the opposite ends of a spectrum are surprisingly sitting with each other at the top of the League table with just goal difference separating them. Such is the nature of the Premier League that it gives a chance for a team with only 13 senior players without a manager to harbour thoughts of competing against a team which has the likes of Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney with a certain Jose Mourinho pulling the strings as a manager.
Hull City have defied all odds and have won the first two matches on the trot. And they are on the brink of creating history by being the second newly promoted team after Bolton to have won the first 3 matches of a Premier League campaign. But they will be up against arguably the strongest team in the Premier League. If last week’s game at Old Trafford is anything to go by, Hull City are in for a rude reality check. Jose Mourinho’s troops seem to be gathering an ominous momentum and the sparkling debut of Paul Pogba along with Zlatan’s imperious goal scoring form seems to be enough to banish the Tigers to their 11th defeat in the last 12 matches against the Red Devils.
Here is the Predicted Manchester United Line-Up (4-2-3-1).
DEFENCE
David De Gea will take up his usual spot in between the sticks and going by the early indications will probably have the quietest season since his arrival at the Old Trafford. Valencia has been a revelation at right-back and seems to be first-choice. Mourinho might be tempted to introduce Chris Smalling and have a look at his partnership with Eric Bailly. While Luke Shaw is a shoo-in at left-back.
MIDFIELD
Paul Pogba got off to a rollicking start and clocked up some impressive stats and looked as if he was never away. Fellaini is experiencing a personal renaissance of sorts in a United shirt but Schneiderlin, who hasn’t got a game till now might get a look in. Wayne Rooney will face one of his favourite opposition and look to continue pulling the strings from the No.10 position.
ATTACK
Martial might be challenged by Depay for a spot on the left-flank while Mkhitaryan will be vying with Mata as he looks to earn his first start. Ibrahimovic will be leading the line as he looks to edge ahead in the nascent stage of the Golden Boot race with Sergio Aguero.
