Liverpool will play hosts to West Ham United at the back of a thumping 5-0 away win versus FC Porto last week. The Reds are in sensational form going forward and has scored 12 goals in their last four matches in all competitions. Jurgen Klopp will be hoping that his side does not get complacent and can see off David Moyes’ side in what is set to be a tricky match for them at Anfield on Saturday. The Merseyside outfit would be looking to secure all three points and could leapfrog their rivals, Manchester United to the second place in the Premier League standings if the Red Devils fail to beat Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Hammers secured a 2-0 win against Watford in their last league outing and on their day, they can be a threat to any team in the Premier League. The recent history of the fixture makes a grim reading for the visitors as they have not won in any of their last three meetings with the Reds, losing two and drawing one of those matches during that time. Jurgen Klopp is expected to opt for a 4-3-3 formation and could start both Joel Matip and James Milner in his starting eleven.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face West Ham United
Defence
Loris Karius is expected to resume his duties in goal and might be shielded by a backline of Virgil Van Dijk and Joel Matip in central defence while Andrew Robertson starts in the left-back position and Trent-Alexander Arnold takes his place on the right-hand side of the defence.
Both Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren could be in line to start on the Liverpool bench. Klopp will be hoping his back four can keep another clean sheet versus the Hammers after securing back to back shutouts in their last two outings against Southampton and FC Porto respectively.
Midfield
The trio of James Milner, Jordan Henderson and Emre Can might be unleashed at the centre of the park and the performance of these players will be integral if Liverpool are to break down the Hammers defence at Anfield.
Lallana is still making his way back to full fitness and could be available for a place on the bench for this clash versus David Moyes’ side.
Attack
The front three would consist of Roberto Firmino spearheading the Reds attack, Mohamed Salah looking to cause some damage on the right side while Sadio Mane tries to use his pace on the left flank. Danny Ings is expected to start on the bench and might come on during the match if required.
