Juventus are lining up a move for Real Madrid speedster Gareth Bale next summer. According to reports in the Spanish press, the Welsh wizard is wanted by the Seria A champions as they look to find a replacement for their Argentine forward Paulo Dybala. Bale has been linked with a move back to the Premier League in the past, but it looks like the Turin club are now closing in on the Welsh international’s signature. Bale has incredible pace and has proven himself at the top level which the Italian giants could look to utilise in the coming years.
The 28-year-old has previously played for Southampton, before moving on to Tottenham Hotspur, where he made a name for himself which finally led to his arrival at the Spanish capital. He has featured in 22 matches for Los Blancos this season, finding the back of the net 9 times and providing 6 assists so far in all competitions. Bale is highly versatile and can operate in a number of different positions across the frontline. He can play on either flank, as a centre-forward up top or in the number 10 position.
The Welsh forward has also played in the left-back position in the past. His incredible versatility makes him an ideal asset for any team which is why he’s gathering attention from clubs all across Europe.
Although his recent track record with injuries is a cause for concern yet if he can stay fit, then he is a handful for any defence in Europe. Only time will tell what lies ahead in the future of the Welsh star and whether he ends up moving to the Juventus Stadium at the end of the season.
The Galacticos are currently sitting in 4th place in the La Liga standings, a staggering 17 points behind their rivals and league leaders Barcelona. Zinedine Zidane’s side are in dire need of reinforcements in the summer as they look to bridge the gap between themselves and Barca in the coming years.
However, it could be even more important for them to retain their top talents and Gareth Bale is undoubtedly one of them. He is a match-winner as evidenced by his brilliant performances for Los Blancos in the past. The Spanish giants would be foolish to sell him without bringing in a worthy replacement. It remains to be seen if Bale continues his stay at the Spanish capital or ends up leaving for fresher adventures.
