London outfit Chelsea are reportedly interested in Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford. Manchester United’s young sensation has broken into the big stage in the most dramatic fashion. He has scored on every possible debut he made for the club and his keen eye for goal has seen him develop into a fine first-team player.
Add to that, his dribbling skills and raw pace, Rashford looks like the complete product and the England international, who just turned 20, has a wonderfully promising career ahead of him. He has already scored 10 goals and set up 8 this season.
Rashford is most dangerous when he has the ball at his feet and teammates rallying around him. He is good at shooting, crossing, dribbling and has the whole array to become a complete forward. If he were to move to Chelsea, it would see him team up with the likes of Alvaro Morata and Eden Hazard to form a frightening top 3 at Stamford Bridge.
However, at Chelsea right now there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the club. There is no guarantee of either Antonio Conte or Eden Hazard staying beyond this season and moving to a club like this could destabilize a young player like him. Rashford was finally getting regular time at Manchester United prior to the arrival of Alexis Sanchez. However, the youngster should at least try for another season before quitting United as the competition to fight for spots will be high in any top team.
For United as well, the move would be an absolute no-go simply because they cannot let go of Rashford, irrespective of whoever and whatever they are offered. The young Englishman is exactly the kind of player that gets the crowd at Old Trafford on their feet.
The Red Devils should not negotiate with any club approaching them for their sensational young star and they would do well to tie him down to a solid contract before many like Roman Abramovich come prying for Rashford; a memory United fans are not fond of especially, since the last time a promising world beater was taken away from them it was none other than five-time player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo.
Moreover, it is highly unbelievable that Jose Mourinho would ever allow one of his best players to switch clubs to join his nemesis, Antonio Conte. So will this move is probably never going to happen.
