It is exciting times at the Emirates as the Arsenal fans eagerly wait to see their new stars in action. The month that started with the dreaded departure of Alexis Sanchez proved to be a happy window for the Gunners. They made the best out of a bad situation by allowing the Chilean to leave for Old Trafford when they forced Mourinho’s men to trade Henrikh Mkhitaryan for Sanchez. Things got even better for them when they finally came out of the domino situation with Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund by signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, for a club record fee.
The last bit of news that relieved every Arsenal fan was the contract extension of their German star Mesut Ozil who finally put pen to paper at the Emirates. With the resurgence of Jack Wilshere, Arsenal will look to form a deadly attack and all without Sanchez. Credit must be given to their French boss, Arsene Wenger, who has managed to calmly handle the tricky month of January by beating Chelsea in the Carabao Cup and handled the transfers of so many players.
They come up against an Everton side who are packing some new artillery themselves. The Toffees will be happy with their business in the winter window having snapped up talented players like Cenk Tosun and Theo Walcott.
Their latest addition Eliaquim Mangala is also expected to be available for selection. The match will be an emotional journey for Theo Walcott who will be entering the away dressing room at the Emirates for the first time in his career. Walcott left his boyhood club this month in search of regular football and has been a bright spark in the Toffees side.
Team News
