FPL game week 26 kicks off on Saturday the 3rd of February with Manchester City travelling to Burnley in the early kickoff. So, you need to have your transfers done by 11:30 UK time on the 3rd.
There are then five 3 pm kickoffs on the 3rd. These are Bournemouth vs Stoke, Brighton vs West Ham, Leicester vs Swansea, Manchester United vs Huddersfield and West Brom vs Southampton. Arsenal vs Everton is the late kick-off on the 3rd.
Sunday sees two FPL games with Crystal Palace vs Newcastle and Liverpool vs Spurs. Game week 26 ends on Monday night as Watford host Chelsea.
Here are three players you should sign this week.
Eden Hazard (10.7)
Chelsea are taking on Watford this game week. Watford are on a very poor run of form. In their last five games, they have won just one, drew one and lost three. So, given Chelsea are in pretty good form, excluding the defeat to Bournemouth, you should probably have a Chelsea player in your FPL team this week.
Your best choice would be Eden Hazard. Despite missing a few games early in the season, Hazard has impressed since coming back. He has scored eight goals and assisted four in the league already this season. Plus, given Chelsea keep a lot of clean sheets and Hazard is a midfielder, he often gets the one bonus point when Chelsea keep a clean sheet.
Hazard is also the best Chelsea player on FPL this season in the attacking department. He has earned a respectable 114 points already with the next closest being Alvaro Morata with 97. So, if anyone is going to score/ assist vs Watford for Chelsea this weekend. It is very likely going to be Eden Hazard.
David de Gea (5.9)
While Manchester United’s attack, (Lukaku) has been somewhat questionable this season, there is no doubting their excellent defence. In 25 league games, this season United have let in just 18 goals. The best in the league
One of the main reasons for this is due to the consistently excellent displays De Gea puts in week in week out. The Spaniard has helped United keep a remarkable 14 clean sheets in the league already this season. This is also the most in the league.
De Gea is also the best goalkeeper on FPL. He has 129 points with the next closest keeper having just 108. Furthermore, United are at home this game week to Huddersfield. Huddersfield are not exactly known for scoring goals. And so far this season they have managed just 19 in 25 league games. Therefore, it is very likely given United’s solid defence and Huddersfield’s poor attack that De Gea will keep yet another clean sheet this weekend.
Nacho Monreal (5.7)
While Arsenal have not been in the best form lately, losing 3-1 to Swansea earlier this week, one player who has been in good form for them is Nacho Monreal.
The defender has been in great form especially in his last two league games. He scored Arsenal’s only goal when they lost 3-1 to Swansea. He also scored one and assisted two in the game before when Arsenal beat Crystal Palace.
This puts Monreal to an impressive 109 FPL points this season and makes him the 5th best defender on FPL this season. Moreover, Arsenal are at home to Everton this week. Everton are in very poor form lately. They have won just once in their last five league games in which they have lost three. So, it is very likely Arsenal will be able to beat them this game week and given his form, Monreal could well be involved in the goals and keep a clean sheet this game week.
