Manchester City will travel to the Turf Moor to take on Burnley on Saturday in the Premier League. Sean Dyche’s men began the season in terrific form but have fallen off the pace in the last few weeks. Pep Guardiola’s side are currently leading the Premier League by 15 points and looks set to secure another English top tier title at the end of the season. They are cruising at the top of the league table after only suffering a single domestic defeat at the hands of Liverpool so far this term. The Citizens of Manchester will be looking to make it five wins on the spin when they take on the Clarets on Saturday.
The recent history of the fixture doesn’t make a good reading for Burnley fans as the Clarets have lost their four meetings with City in all competitions. Pep Guardiola is expected to stick with his favoured 4-3-3 formation and may opt to give Claudio Bravo a start in goal for this clash. David Silva suffered an injury versus West Bromwich Albion in midweek and could be replaced by İlkay Gündoğan at the centre of the park.
4-3-3 Manchester City Predicted Lineup To Face Burnley
Defence
Claudio Bravo could return in goal for Manchester City and will be protected by a back four consisting of new signing Aymeric Laporte and Nicolas Otamendi in central defence while Kyle Walker operates as the right-back and Alexander Zinchenko starts on the left side of the backline.
Pep Guardiola’s defenders kept a clean sheet in their last league outing against West Bromwich Albion but had conceded 8 goals in their last five matches prior to that contest. The Spanish manager will be hoping that his back four can keep another clean sheet versus Burnley on Saturday.
Midfield
The trio of Kevin De Bruyne, Fernandinho, and İlkay Gündoğan could be deployed at the centre of the park. David Silva suffered an injury in their last league match and so he might miss out on this contest at the Turf Moor while Yaya Toure could be handed a place on the bench.
Attack
The dangerous front three of Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero, and Bernardo Silva will start up top for the Citizens. Leroy Sane will miss out on the clash after falling victim to an injury against Cardiff City last month. The terrific front trio of City has loads of goals and assists in between them this season. Hence it is expected that one of them will make the difference on the day at the Turf Moor.
