After an intriguing set of FA Cup 4th round fixtures, the Premier League is back in town this mid-week as all 10 teams will turn their attention to the league table. Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United are not too comfortably placed in the 2nd place in the points table and face a tough task this week, as they travel to Wembley on Wednesday.
Tottenham Hotspur, who lost the reverse fixture at Old Trafford, are currently just outside the top-4 just two points off Liverpool in the 4th place. They play Liverpool and Arsenal in their next two league games and will want to make a winning start to these tough run of fixtures. These games could have a major say in their league position, come the end of the season and they cannot afford any complacency to set it.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men got the better of the Red Devils in their last two home games and they will hope to put in a similar performance and keep up the pressure on Liverpool. But Manchester United are now unbeaten in their last eight games and are right at the top of the league table on form in recent games.
Harry Kane and Anthony Martial have personal milestones to look forward to while United could use Alexis Sanchez, who scored in Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Spurs earlier this season. Pochettino’s men have not been able to take too many points off top-6 opponents this season and they will look to make things right this week.
