It will definitely make Villa fans happy that their club are closing in on a deal for highly-rated Manchester United youngster, Axel Tuanzebe, albeit on loan this month. The Congolese-born player will give Steve Bruce’s side a major boost going into the second half of the campaign. He is one of the brightest young prospects coming out of Manchester, with manager Jose Mourinho handing him some opportunities in his starting eleven this term. The England U21 international has made 5 appearances for the Red Devils in this campaign across all competitions and has looked solid at the back for United so far.
Steve Bruce’s side are flying high in the English Championship and currently find themselves in 4th place in the league standings, with a tally of 50 points in 24 league matches. They are well in contention to secure a playoffs spot at the end of the season but Steve Bruce could look to push his players and chase down second-placed Derby County to try and earn an automatic promotion into the Premier League. The addition of a defender remains a priority for his side in their quest to put up a strong performance in the second half of the season.
If the Villans can land the highly rated Manchester United defender, he will undoubtedly flourish playing under United legend Steve Bruce who knows what it takes to get the best out of his players. Tuanzebe would find an ideal platform to develop his game at Villa Park and come back stronger for next season and maybe push for a place in Jose Mourinho’s first eleven.
The West Midlands outfit will undoubtedly be acquiring a very talented player if they do end up securing a loan deal for the youngster this month. It remains to be seen what lies ahead in the future of Tuanzebe and whether he can be a success at Villa Park.
