Everton are looking to rival the interests of Liverpool for highly-rated Charlton Athletic defender, Ezra Konsa who is valued at £5m by the League One side. The Addicks have already agreed to sell the defender but are yet to receive a bid from either of the Premier League side.
Charlton have already sold Ademola Lookman to Everton in the past and are prepared to lose the services of Konsa as well by the end of January. A tough pill to swallow for a promotion chasing side ahead of the final stretch of the season.
Konsa has been capped at international level for the England U20 side four times and has won the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup in South Korea. He is one of the brightest prospects in the country who deserves a call-up to the big leagues.

The club does have resources to offload if not in the January window, definitely by the end of the season and that can pave the way for the signing of a promising young English defender to be a key figure in the club’s future.
