Wolverhampton Wanderers has a £34m bid rejected for AC Milan striker Andre Silva. According to latest reports in the Italian press, the Rossoneri has declined a massive bid from the Wolves for their Portuguese forward. The Championship side pulled off a huge transfer last summer when they signed Ruben Neves from FC Porto for a reported fee of £15.8m which was a club-record signing as well as a record fee for the league.
Hence, they were touted to win promotion back to the Premier League and so far, they have done well in their quest as they sit top of the Championship table, 12 points clear of second-placed Derby County.
Wolves manager Nuno Espírito Santo is now looking to strengthen even more in this January transfer window and some sources are claiming that his side has had a whopping £34m bid rejected for Portuguese sensation Andre Silva who plies his trade for AC Milan in the Serie A. Another report has also suggested that the Championship side are now preparing a second bid in the hopes of landing the striker.

The 22-year-old Portuguese international put pen to paper on a deal with AC Milan in the summer after rising to prominence by playing in FC Porto’s youth ranks and breaking into their senior team. The deal was reported to be worth in the region of €38m plus performance-related bonuses.
The Portuguese forward has scored 8 goals in 10 Europa League appearances for the Italian giants so far. Although, he is yet to find the back of the net in the Serie A having made 12 appearances for his side in the league. Silva has fallen behind the pecking order to the likes of Nikola Kalinic and Patrick Cutrone. The Milan club are determined not to lose their prized asset in this transfer window and reckons that he just needs some more game time to settle himself into Italian football.
Wolves are currently running away with the league and are currently 12 points clear at the top of the English Championship standings. With promotion almost secured, the club are ready to go big in the transfer market and are targetting the talented Milan forward, who has scored 11 goals in 18 senior caps for his nation.
The addition of Silva will undoubtedly bolster Nuno Espírito Santo’s attacking options at Wolves in their quest to secure Premier League football for next season. It remains to be seen whether the Championship side goes back in with another offer for Silva this month.
