Arsenal are one of the teams in the Premier League this term, for whom it has been a rather mixed season at the top flight. After faltering to qualify for a place among the first four in the league table in the last term, the Gunners found themselves unable to be a part of the prestigious Champions League competition for the very first time in their history since 1998.
However, the North London club have looked to better their performances in the recent times and are currently on a five-match unbeaten streak in the Premier League, which they will like to extend when they take on West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns in what is going to be the last match of this year for both the sides.
West Brom are also not in a place to rejoice this season in the Premier League. The Baggies are currently looking forward to making amends for their awful performances in the last few matches, which has made them a serious contender to face relegation by the end of the season. The Gunners will try and take full advantage of the tumultuous situation their immediate opponents are in and bag maximum points from their next encounter. They will also have their next clash against Chelsea in their mind and might not be risking the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Jack Wilshere and Alexandre Lacazette against the Baggies.
Here is how they might line up in the next match.
Formation: 4-3-2-1
Defence
Hovering away from his usual three men backline, which gaffer Arsene Wenger has been sticking with for most of the season so far, the Frenchman will look to use a four-man backline against the Baggies. With Hector Bellerin starting on the right flank and Ainsley Maitland- Niles on the left, the heart of the defence will be guarded by Shkodran Mustafi and Laurent Koscielny. Petr Cech is expected to start under the crossbars for the Gunners once again.
Midfield
In the middle of the pitch, Arsenal is expected to start with the likes of Francis Coquelin and Mohamed Elneny, who will once again have a chance to prove their point to be a part of the starting eleven more often. It is going to be a crucial match for them nonetheless in the colours of the North London outfit.
Attack
Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil are expected to start on the right and left-hand sides respectively in the attack, accompanied by Alex Iwobi, who will be starting in a more central position right behind the main striker. The position is expected to be filled up by English marksman Danny Welbeck, who will have to play a very important role in scoring goals for the North London and give their second successive win after their scrappy victory against Crystal Palace in the last outing.
