After their 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Heart of Midlothian, Celtic have collected a couple of wins in as many games in the Scottish top flight, with wins against Partick Thistle and Aberdeen.
Brendan Rodgers’ side are placed at the top of the league table with 47 points to their name after 20 games and have a lead of 8 points over the Dandies, who are currently placed at the 2nd spot.
On Tuesday, Celtic are due to face Dundee, who are currently placed at the 10th position on the league table, at the Dens Park and here is how we expect Rodgers to station his starting line-up for the upcoming fixture.
Defence
Craig Gordon hasn’t been in a dazzling form this season, but considering that Dorus de Vries is injured, he is likely to continue with his place between the sticks with the gloves for the Celts.
The central defence is expected to be filled by the duo comprising of Dedryck Boyata and Kristoffer Ajer. While the former has been struggling recently due to his occasional lapses of concentration, the latter has hardly put a foot wrong and should definitely start this midweek.
Kieran Tierney is anticipated to start once again from the left-back position, having played very well against Aberdeen and at the right-back slot, Mikael Lustig is likely to be given the nod to start.
Midfield
Scott Brown has been commanding the middle of the park with sheer ease and has been giving his all on the pitch, and it would make sense from Rodgers to pencil him in his starting line-up in the central midfield.
Alongside Brown, Olivier Ntcham would be a shrewd choice as his inclination to break forward should come handy for the Bhoys. He has also been in a good touch of late.
The no. 10 slot is likely to be handed to Callum McGregor, ahead of Stuart Armstrong as it would be wise to give Armstrong a bit of rest.
Attack
For the left-wing zone, Scott Sinclair’s industry and sharp attacking tooth should see him getting picked for the aforesaid spot, although he needs to up the quality of his finishing. Jonny Hayes deserves to start once again and is likely to be inked at the right-wing.
Right up front, Moussa Dembele is seemingly likely to start once again. He was sharp against Aberdeen despite not having scored a goal. In 11 Scottish Premiership games so far, he has smashed 4 goals and would be keen to add to the tally if he starts against the Dee.
