Championship outfit, Leeds United have started to find their feet in the race for earning a promotion spot once again after their two wins on the trot, against Queens Park Rangers and Norwich City, and are currently placed at the 7th spot in the league table with 36 points to their name after 22 games. However, they must keep the momentum going and in order to ensure that they excel in the coming days, they would certainly need some additions to enhance their arsenal.
With the January transfer window coming up in some days, it would be an excellent opportunity for the Whites to go for some quality names and as per one of the latest reports by The Express, Leeds United have put Heracles’ winger, Brandley Kuwas, on their radar. It is perceived that the chiefs of the Yorkshire-based club have already started to negotiate with the representatives of Kuwas to contemplate upon his move to the Elland Road in January.
Kuwas has been dazzling in Eredivisie, having scored 3 goals and registered 7 assists to his name from 14 appearances and has played an instrumental role for his club. He emerged through the youth ranks of Hellas, AZ and KFC and has played with the senior side of FC Volendam and Excelsior, apart from the Heraclieden. The Curacao international certainly has the experience and given his rise this season, it goes without saying that many top quality clubs in Europe would be aiming to get hold of him.
The 25-year-old is a right-sided attacker and apart from his tendency to bag assists, he does score occasionally. Ezgjan Alioski has been the main commodity on the right for Thomas Christiansen’s side but a bit of competition should be introduced by Christiansen to elevate the productivity of his men and Kuwas would be a decent man to do the same. He loves dribbling, is good with his crosses and has the necessary pace to thrive in the Championship.
However, he isn’t a really good passer of the ball and doesn’t contribute much defensively either. Besides, he is found bereft of confidence while holding the ball at times and if he is to excel on the English soil, he would need to up his finishing technique as well. Yes, he has to brush himself further but the calibre he possesses can certainly not be denied and it would be interesting to see what Leeds United decide regarding him in January.
