A scintillating display from Crystal Palace saw them overtake the Foxes 0-3 at the King Power Stadium. Claude Puel’s men break their 4- game winning streak as they were outplayed from the off, struggling to find the level of performance that guided them to a dominant win over Southampton in their mid-week fixture.
Leicester could not come back from a 2 goal deficit in the second half as their struggles got worse after Wilfred Ndidi got a second booking for simulation inside the opposition box. The Leicester defence was hammered by one attack after the other and could barely keep up with the pace from the wings.
Their offensive line could not form a decent attack on goal with Riyad Mahrez completely shut down from the right. Going down to 10 men in the later stages did not help their stages as Christian Benteke constantly looked to kill the game off for good. Bakary Sako finally did in injury time to put the cherry on the top.
Kasper Schmeichel 4/10
The German’s position was not the best against Benteke’s header to give away the first goal to the opposition. He got a few saves in the second half but failed to keep up with the constant pressure from the Palace attacking lineup.
Danny Simpson 4/10
He failed to shut down the right wing as Jeffrey Schlupp constantly found his way to deliver his passes towards Benteke in the box.
Wes Morgan 5/10
Tried his hardest to hold the defensive backline against the raging pace of the Palace attack but to no avail. Let Benteke drift off him for the first goal.
Harry Maguire 3/10
Not the best performance in a Leicester shirt as he got completely outplayed by Zaha and Benteke. With clumsy tackles and poorly timed headers, the defensive backline was vulnerable throughout the game.
Ben Chilwell 4/10
Always a hard day for fullbacks when Andros Townsend plays like he did today. Chilwell put on a disappointing display and allowed Townsend ton of space in the Leicester half from the left-hand side.
Vincente Iborra 4/10
Tried to hold the midfield position but gave the ball away in key areas. One of his attempts on goal got disallowed.
Wilfred Ndidi 3/10
An unnecessary second yellow card only hurt the chances of his side to fight in the second half.
Riyad Mahrez 6/10
Not really effective but formulated one of the best chances for the team.
Demarai Gray 6/10
He worked hard and took on the opposition defence whenever he got the chance.
Marc Albrighton 5/10
Supplied a few good balls towards the box.
Jamie Vardy 5/10
Did not get any clear chances on goal.
