The back 3 positions are supposed to be filled with the trio of Willy Boly, Conor Coady and Ryan Benett. They have been impressive throughout the season. With club captain Danny Batth currently out of the side, Coady has taken up the captain’s armband in the last 7 games and has to lead the team from the centre-back position to get the 4 point lead over Cardiff.

Ruben Neves might be fielded alongside Romain Saiss around the centre circle by Santo. The defensive midfield pairing is one of the key components in the Portuguese manager’s style of play.
Matt Doherty is expected to return to the right wing back position with Barry Douglas on the other flank. The duo has also been major contributors to the success of the side this season with 3 goals and 9 assists between them.
