Since the appointment of Claude Puel, Leicester City have done wonders. Shrugging all their previous wrongdoings, the Foxes have been on a quite exciting run as they defeated the likes of Tottenham Hotspur on the road.
Leicester City are set to travel to Tyneside to entertain a struggling Newcastle United. The Magpies are on a six-game winless run and time is running out for them.
Having made a pretty sensational start following their automatic promotion to the Premier League life hasn’t been easy for them. Their defensive frailties have been horribly exposed as they leaked 12 goals in the last four matches.
Benitez needs to sort out their defensive issues as he is well aware what the Foxes are capable of. Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and Demarai Gray all have started to lift themselves up as the Foxes are now searching ways to climb the ladder up to the top.
Predicted 4-4-1-1 Leicester City Starting Lineup Vs Newcastle United
Defence
Kasper Schmeichel has had a strong presence in the Foxes goal. He might have had some issues but throughout the season he has been very reliable and he is likely to take his position one more time under the bar.
Harry Maguire has been the silent hero for the Foxes backline. The 24-year-old was very quick to adapt to the new conditions and has played his part very well. He will beef up the defence alongside Wes Morgan.
Danny Simpson will take his position on the right side of the defence while Ben Chilwell will be seen operating from the left side of the defence.
Midfield
Vicente Iborra’s big physical presence in the middle of the park has helped Leicester as the big Spanish can hold possession if needed. Leicester likes to counter attack so they would be needed who can move the ball fast and freely.
Iborra will be there in the midfield alongside Wilfred Ndidi. The Nigerian international is known for his power-packed performance in the midfield.
Attack
Marc Albrighton will be on the left flank.
Riyad Mahrez has been a commanding presence in the Leicester side and Puel is likely to rely on him a lot. The Algerian winger will be moving from the right wing.
Demarai Gray has been used more centrally to the attack and he will operate just a little behind of the main striker.
Jamie Vardy will be the main lead of the Foxes attack.
