FPL is back for the second time in the space of a week. Game week 15 kicks off on Saturday afternoon as Chelsea host Newcastle United. Arsenal also take on Manchester United in the late kickoff on Saturday. The 3 pm kickoffs are as followed. Brighton take on Liverpool, Everton vs Huddersfield, Leicester vs Burnley, Stoke host Swansea, Spurs travel to Watford and West Brom vs Crystal Palace.
As for Sunday, Bournemouth take on Southampton and Manchester City host a struggling West Ham.
Here are three players you should sign this week.
Alvaro Morata (10.7)
Morata has been one of Chelsea’s top performer in FPL this season, as well as being one of the top performers in the attacking area.
Already this season he has managed an impressive eight goals and four assists in the league for Chelsea this season. This has given the Spaniard a total of 75 FPL points this season. The only Chelsea player to have more FPL points this season is Cesar Azpilicueta with 76 points.
His impressive goal and assists record also puts him in fourth place on the attacker’s leaderboard this season. But do bear in mind everyone above Morata will cost you a fair bit more this season. And considering that he is only behind first place by five points, such a big price difference between him and table leader Harry Kane (12.8) would suggest Morata is much better value for money as Kane would have earned you five extra points. But he would have cost an extra 2.1 in the process. That 2.1 could be spent much wiser elsewhere on your side.
Plus, Chelsea are playing Newcastle this weekend meaning Morata is very likely to score and or assist. Newcastle are slowly slipping down the table and their recent form of four losses and one draw shows a team such as Chelsea should have no problem putting several goals past them.
Raheem Sterling (8.2)
Manchester City are continuing their impressive unbeaten run this season with this week’s challengers being a struggling West Ham side.
West Ham are 18th in the league and have already let in 30 league goals this season, the most in the league. They have also just been destroyed by a woeful Everton side in their last game in which they lost 4-0. If that doesn’t show how much West Ham are struggling then who knows what will.
But either way, you really do need a City player in your FPL side this weekend as you could probably bet your house that Manchester City will beat West Ham and score at least four goals in the process.
The City player you should choose this week is Raheem Sterling. Sterling has been in top form for City in recent weeks. This has seen him bag an impressive nine goals and four assists in the league this season. Giving him a total of 87 FPL points this season. That is the joint most of any City player this season. And also the second most of any FPL player this season. Plus at just 8.2, you’d be mad not to sign him.
Mohammed Salah (9.8)
Salah appears on this list once again. But it is with very good reason. To start with Salah is the Premier League’s top scorer this season 12 goals and two assists. Furthermore, Salah also has the most points of any FPL player this season with 108. The next closest is the above mentioned Raheem Sterling with 87.
Also, Liverpool are playing Brighton this game week and while they have been doing decent in the league this season, a team with Liverpool’s attacking threat should have no problems rolling over Brighton.
Salah is also ridiculously cheap for the points he gets you. He is currently just 9.8 which is nowhere near the most expensive player in FPL, even though he will get you the most points in FPL.
Finally, just to give you an idea of how good Salah has been this season, Klopp rested him in Liverpool’s last game before bringing him on in the 67th minute. And yet despite being on the pitch for just over 20 minutes he still managed to score two goals.
