A thrilling match came to an end at Anfield as Liverpool and Chelsea shared the spoils on the night. While on one end Mo Salah continued to impress by scoring yet another goal, Chelsea were slightly lucky to get their goal as a strange effort from Willian found the back of the net.
However, it was no less than what Chelsea deserved as the Blues looked extremely positive and the more likely of the two sides to snatch three points despite the game being played at Anfield.
Here is a look at the player ratings for Chelsea.
Thibaut Courtois: 7.5
Surprisingly the less disturbed of the two custodians in the night, Courtois could do little about the goal. He was on hand, later on, to deny Salah a second although, for a keeper of his standard, the save was expected.
Davide Zappacosta: 7
Again another disciplined performance from the industrious Italian but his one-dimensional attacking game is getting found out and Conte needs to tactically improve his native man to add variety to his attack.
Cesar Azpilicueta: 7.5
An impressive performance from the Spaniard again as he marshalled the Chelsea defence well and was always on hand to deny Liverpool from scoring.
Andreas Christensen: 7.5
He is setting himself up to be the next big thing at Chelsea. A mature performance on a big night from the young centre-back and Chelsea will be expecting big things from him in the coming seasons.
Gary Cahill: 7
A good night for the Chelsea captain as he would have been happy to come away with a positive result for his time.
Marcos Alonso: 7
Effective minimal display. He is not letting anyone understand the fatigue he is feeling, having been Chelsea’s most-used outfield player this season.
N’Golo Kante: 7.5
Knew his role very well and did brilliantly to not let the Liverpool midfield dictate the match.
Danny Drinkwater: 7
A good display from the Englishman as he made his first Premier League appearance and looked in good sync with N’Golo Kante.
Tiemoue Bakayoko: 5.5
Another lousy display on a big night. Zero productivity while going forward and his casual touch outside the Chelsea box cost the Blues a goal.
Eden Hazard: 8
The Belgian was everywhere in the first half and looked dangerous every time he got the ball. Drifted away slowly in the second half.
Alvaro Morata: 7
Not in the game for long but was effective whenever called upon.
Pedro: 6
Pushed to the right wing-back, had nothing worth telling to do.
Cesc Fabregas: 7
Came on for 15 minutes and immediately started to control the tempo of the Chelsea team as he flowed the passes with absolute ease.
Willian: 6.5
A fluke goal from the Brazilian helped his team earn a worthy point at Anfield.
