After years of battling the old foes, it finally looked like Spurs were well set to lock horns equally against Arsenal and come out as favourites but it wasn’t to be, atleast this weekend. Pochettino’s men suffered against a spirited Arsenal as goals from Sanchez and Mustafi knocked them down.
Here’s how the disappointed Lilywhites have been rated:-
GK: Hugo Lloris – 5.5/10
He came off the line quickly to prevent a goal from a slow backpass but apart from that, he had to be on guard all the time and he was beaten twice. Being on the wrong foot didn’t help him for Sanchez’s goal and he had no chance against Mustafi’s header. A sad day!
RWB: Kieran Trippier – 3/10
Showed no chemistry with Sissoko on the right while going forward and he had a tough time against Sanchez.
CB: Davinson Sanchez – 7.5/10
He stood out in the defence for Spurs today and his composure was just impeccable. A wrong decision against him went in favour of Arsenal but he was excellent and he will be surely needed in the absence of Alderweireld.
CB: Eric Dier – 5/10
Made a few important challenges but couldn’t do anything against Lacazette or the goal of Mustafi.
CB: Jan Vertonghen – 3.5/10
He was poor today and he hardly made a difference being at the back.
LWB: Ben Davies – 3/10
Ozil ran riot against him and he certainly didn’t deliver from the left when he got space. He risks his position with Danny Rose lurking.
CM: Moussa Dembele – 5.5/10
Composure on the ball was simply brilliant just like Sanchez but he was overwhelmed in the middle.
CM: Moussa Sissoko – 3/10
Just ran with the ball and did nothing otherwise. Dismal.
FW: Christian Eriksen – 3.5/10
The end product just didn’t go in his favour today. Arsenal showed their class in the middle and prevented him well enough.
FW: Dele Alli – 2/10
Had a shocking game and made no impact.
ST: Harry Kane – 2/10
Lurked in the shadows of Koscielny and Mustafi and was outplayed badly.

CM: Harry Winks – 5/10
Got the much-needed energy in the middle but the damage was already done.
FW: Fernando Llorente – 4/10
Battled just like Kane against Arsenal’s defenders but he came late and couldn’t turn the tide.
FW: Heung-Son Min – 3/10
Missed a good chance as the clock struck 85. Nothing special otherwise.
