Crystal Palace need to show a bit of urgency for the remainder of the season. They have managed just one win so far and have lost two out of the last four matches. Their miserable form has left them at the bottom of the table and Roy Hodgson has to find a way to ensure his team’s safety.
The Eagles are scheduled to take on Everton in a very interesting match which could turn the dice in their favour. Everton have just got back to winning ways again Watford and they would certainly fancy a chance against the struggling Eagles.
Relegation scare has started to appear and Palace need a positive result in this game to upturn the fortune. They certainly do have the resources to lift themselves up from the relegation zone and Roy Hodgson has been given the job to do so.
Everton invested well in the summer but they never looked like a major threat and Palace can take advantages of that. The likes of Wilfried Zaha can be a tormentor if he is given the space to act.
Predicted 4-4-2 Crystal palace Starting Lineup Against Everton
Defence
The poor form of Wayne Hennessey has seen Julian Speroni fitting in the goal and for this important match, Hodgson will rely on the 38-year-old.
Mamadou Sakho will pair up with Scott Dann to battle out with the Everton attackers.
Patrick van Aanholt is still suffering from an injury so Joel Ward could be seen in an unorthodox left-back position.
On-loan Manchester United player Timothy Fosu-Mensah will be on the other side of the defence.
Midfield
Luka Milivojevic has been leading the charge in the midfield. The midfielder needs to put a barrier to stop the Everton attack.
Yohan Cabaye has been often seen taking the creative role in the middle of the pitch and in this match too, he will be designated as the chief creator against the Toffees.
Attack
Ruben Loftus-Cheek limped out in England’s friendly against Brazil and is now facing a race against time to be fit for this match. In case he fails to make it Andros Townsend will shift to the right side.
Jeffrey Schlupp will be on the left flank.
Hodgson will be boosted by the return of Christian Benteke. The Belgian forward was out since September and now is back in the contention. He will start the match alongside Zaha who has been a one-man army for the Eagles.
