Everton have been rebuffed in their attempts to sign Watford manager Marco Silva, according to ESPN. The Toffees are continuing their search for a new manager following the sacking of head coach Ronald Koeman last month.
Everton’s reserve team coach David Unsworth is currently in charge of the club as interim coach until a possible suitor appears. With International break over, the club football is set to get back underway this upcoming weekend. The Merseyside giants will be wanting to find a replacement as soon as they can.
Here are three potential suitors available who could fill the boots of Ronald Koeman at Everton boss.
Carlo Ancelotti – Free Agent
One of the hottest managers available in the market right now, Carlo Ancelotti’s stint with Bayern hasn’t gone exactly as planned as the Bavarians started the season on a disappointing note. Getting humiliated by PSG in the Champions League and trailing Borussia Dortmund by five points within matchday 7 led to the sacking of the Italian head coach.
However, Carlo Ancelotti is open to a return to the Premier League right now, with Everton themselves namechecking the former Chelsea manager in their list of potential replacements.
While Ancelotti may not be the best tactically astute manager in the world, his vast experience coupled with great motivational skills might just prove to be essential for the Toffees as they aim to redeem themselves during the remainder of the season.

Sean Dyche is one of the most promising coaches in England. Since joining Burnley in the summer of 2012, the 46-year-old has done an incredible job with the Clarets. Not only did he manage to promote Burnley to English top division, but also prospered in developing a cohesive unit, which has survived the wrath of the English top flight for the past season or so.
Sean Dyche has been regarded as the favourite for being the next Everton and for obvious reasons as well. Apart from being an Englishman, the Clarets boss has the ability to create a unified whole, which can probably bail Everton out from this mess.
Sam Allardyce
Out of job since leaving Crystal Palace at the end of last season, Sam Allardyce has the most chance of being the next Everton boss, considering the fact that the 63-year-old doesn’t require a huge paycheck, unlike Carlo Ancelotti.
Although Sam Allardyce’s appointment as the next head coach could worry a few sets of Everton faithful considering his brand of football, the former West Ham boss knows the Premier League like no other manager on this list.
The 63-year-old had a rather decent stint with West Ham and could once again find success with a much stronger team in Everton. Made no mistake, Allardyce’s vast experience in the Premier League could play a vital role, should Everton opts for the former Crystal Palace boss in the coming weeks.
