A good number of days have passed but Everton are yet to announce their new manager. Ronald Koeman’s departure has left the club with a vacancy and a number of names have been hovering in the air to take Koeman’s place at the Goodison Park.
Koeman tried to orchestrate a new fresh idea in the Merseyside but had to stop far from his preferred destination. The onus will be on the upcoming manager who certainly needs to be at the top of his skills to pave the way for this team.
Watford manager Marco Silva has been tipped to be the next manager according to some reports. The Portuguese has only taken over the job in summer at the Vicarage Road and has guided the club to a very strong start. However, latest reports indicate that Watford have rejected an approach from Everton for Silva. Now, it remains to be seen whether Everton comes back for the Spaniard.

The current slump at the Goodison Park has been hurting the club’s image and if a decision is not taken soon it could turn from bad to worse. U23 boss David Unsworth has been handed the interim charge but he is unlikely to continue on a permanent basis although his name has also been dug up as a possible replacement to succeed Koeman.
Silva did exemplarily well with Hull City last season as he had almost steered them towards safety but some last minute miscalculation invited the danger for them and as an imminent result the Tigers got demoted to the Championship.
As expected Silva didn’t want to continue in the second tier and e left the club only to return to the Premier League with the Hornets and a what a return it has been. The master tactician has implemented his idea at the Vicarage Road with utter perfection and the overwhelming response from his players have helped them a lot to turn the dice.
His instinctive skills haven’t gone unnoticed although the manager has clearly said earlier he is yet to get an official offer from the club. “Nobody has approached me and I am staying focused on the next match”
Everton hierarchy is busy chalking their plans for the future but they have probably ignored the basic which needs to be rectified. Koeman brought in a number of players as he was eyeing a change of fortunes which slowly got diminished on his way to removal.
Everton’s ambitious approach might land Silva but they do have to compensate Watford which could be quite huge money. But Farhad Moshiri’s intention has been pretty clear and he might take the risk in a bid to save the Merseyside club.
