The general manager of the German National Team, Oliver Bierhoff, has let it slip that Schalke’s midfield sensation Leon Goretzka is actually eyeing for a move to the Premier League. Goretzka has been one of the rising stars in German football for the past 12 months or so and is already becoming a valued prospect in the transfer market.
Goretzka’s contract is set to expire at the end of this season, meaning he could be available for a free transfer next summer. Although, Schalke has been fighting tooth and nails to prevent that from happening by offering him a ludicrous contract extension, as per Bild.
However, Oliver Bierhoff has firmly confirmed that England might be the next destination for the Schalke star, in an interview with Guardian. Arsenal, in particular, were interested in the services of Leon Goreztka for a long time now and they do seem the favourites to land on the German sensation next summer.
