FPL starts back at its regular time on Saturday when Stoke City and Leicester City face each other in the 12:30 kickoff. So, make sure all your transfers are done by 11:30 AM UK time.
The rest of Saturdays games are actually quite average with Liverpool being the only one of the ‘top’ sides in action when they face West Ham in the late kickoff. Elsewhere on Saturday Huddersfield take on West Brom, Newcastle vs Bournemouth, Southampton take on Burnley and Swansea host Brighton.
Sunday, unlike Saturday, is filled with some exciting games. Spurs host Crystal Palace in the first game of the day. Then Manchester City vs Arsenal, Chelsea vs Manchester United and Everton take on Watford.
Here are three players you should buy this game week.
Mohamed Salah (9.2)
This weekend Liverpool take on West Ham. West Ham are having a horrible start to the season and they have just drawn 2-2 with Crystal Palace despite being 2-0 up. Furthermore, they have conceded a staggering 19 goals in the league already this season. Only Stoke and Palace have let in more.
Therefore, given what an attacking side Liverpool are and how many chances they create, there are certainly going to be goals in this game. Meaning it would be very wise to sign a Liverpool forward this week.
The forward you should go for is Salah. Sadio Mane is currently out injured meaning Salah would be your best bet. Even if Mane was fit, Salah has earned the most points of any Liverpool player in FPL this season making him the perfect choice.
The Egyptian has scored five and assisted three in 10 league games for Liverpool this season and you can be certain he will be involved in the goals at the weekend.
Christian Eriksen (9.7)
Spurs are playing Crystal Palace at home this weekend meaning much like Liverpool, you need a Spurs player in your side this game week. Harry Kane would likely be most people’s first choice. But he is still suffering from a hamstring injury meaning it may not be wise to sign him this week.
Therefore, your second best bet is Christian Eriksen. Eriksen is only three points behind Kane in FPL showing how good a season he is having. He has scored three and assisted three in the league this season and is currently second on the midfielder leaderboard on FPL.
Furthermore, as Crystal Palace have conceded 21 goals in the league this season, which is the most, you can be certain Spurs will score at the weekend and that Eriksen will be getting in on the goals and assists.
Matt Ritchie (5.9)
Matt Ritchie is the final player you should sign this weekend. Newcastle themselves are playing very well and are doing much better than many expected. Also, they are at home to a struggling Bournemouth side this week.
Bournemouth are 19th in the league and have won just twice all season. Therefore, it is very likely that a well drilled Newcastle side will be able to see off a struggling Bournemouth. And if Newcastle do beat Bournemouth, Richie is likely to be involved in the goals.
He has yet to score in the league this season. But he has an impressive five assists meaning if and when Newcastle do score, Ritchie is very likely to get an assist. Ritchie also has the most points of any attacking Newcastle player this season.
