Twitter Reacts In Yo-Yo Fashion As Former Newcastle Man Is Rumoured To Take The Rangers Job!

Pedro Caixinha’s dismissal from the Rangers job might lead the Gers to a fresh start this season. The Portuguese was shown the door following an underwhelming campaign and a number of managers are set to be auditioned in coming days as Rangers chairman Dave King wants to bide his time before appointing a manager.

Alan Pardew’s name has reportedly emerged as the one to replace the outgoing manager at the Ibrox. The English manager is currently out of job following his sacking from Crystal Palace last year. But reports are coming that the manager’s entourage has made contact with the club and the manager is keen for a return to top-level football.

Pardew’s last stint at Selhurst Park ended on a bitter note as he left the club reeling in the relegation zone. Sam Allardyce took the charge from him and steadied the ship as the Eagles stayed afloat in the top tier.

It is being said that Pardew is pretty determined to prove his worth as a top-level manager as he wants to mitigate the damage that had already been done following his removal as the Crystal Palace manager. The perks of being a Premier League manager is ideally suited for him but it seems he is aiming for a new challenge at this point of his career.

Since he left the club, he has been busy with his work with Sky Sports and if a chance comes, he would be readily available. Rangers are an iconic club given their heritage and tradition and representing them would be a dream for most managers in the world.

Pardew was offered the job to manage Dynamo Kiev but he turned down the offer as he wants to concentrate on landing a job in the country only. Graeme Murty has taken the interim charge at Rangers and guided the team to a 3-1 win over Hearts as Kenny Miller made a sublime return to the first team with two goals and a brilliant assist.

Rangers have zeroed in on a number of names including Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes but hiring him would be costly as Rangers need to cough up a whopping £1.5m as compensation to Aberdeen.

Rangers fans will be aware of Pardew’s work and they have reacted on social media. Here are a few tweets reacting to the possibility of Alan Pardew managing Rangers.
