Real Madrid are looking to get back to the top position in the La Liga, having won six of their nine matches so far this season. They have notched up four wins on a trot now and will also look to do the same when they take on Girona, who are currently struggling in the La Liga with only two wins to their name.
It might not be a tough fixture for the Galacticos but given their inconsistent form, the reigning La Liga champions will need to be cautious in their approach in this match. They will not like to throw away any points in the near future, with their arch-rivals Barcelona already leading them by five points in the league table.
The gaffer Zinedine Zidane will be worried by the injury concerns he has to deal with. He will not be able to avail the services of the first choice goalkeeper Keylor Navas, who is out with a groin injury. Gareth Bale is also down with a muscle injury and might be rested against Girona.
The Los Blancos’ lineup might look like this in the next match.
Defence
The Galacticos are once again expected to go in with the likes of Theo Hernandez and Nacho on right and left sides of their defence after their solid display in the last match against Eibar. The heart of the backline is expected to feature the trusted partnership of skipper Sergio Ramos and Rafael Varane, who ensured nothing went past them in their 3-0 victory in the last match.
In absence of Keylor Navas, Kiko Casilla will once again stand beneath the crossbars for Real Madrid.
Midfield
The Real Madrid midfield has not been able to perform to their best so far but is finally getting back to form at the right time. With the likes of Dani Ceballos, Casemiro and Luka Modric marshalling their midfield, Los Blancos are setting their eye on defending the title successfully and will look to take one more step towards it by clinching a victory in their next match.
Isco is set to feature as the attacking midfielder and take the fight to the opposition.
Attack
With Cristiano Ronaldo back amongst the goals and with the Spanish youngster Marco Asensio leading the line with him, Girona have everything to fear about. The duo looked good against Eibar and will take the field trying to win all three points without much fuzz.
