Leicester City are finding it difficult to stabilise their situation in the Premier League this season, having lost six out of their eight matches so far. The Foxes are nowhere near their form that they showed during their Premier League winning season, with the possibility of getting relegated by the end of this season from the top tier.
As a result of their dismal performance, the Foxes took the decision of sacking their manager Craig Shakespeare.
The Englishman was given the charge of the side in the last term after their former manager Claudio Ranieri, under whom Leicester City won their maiden Premier League title, was axed. Shakespeare led his side to finish in the twelfth position and their performances looked to get better under his stewardship.
However, the former champions suffered a number of losses this season, which was rather unfortunate and led them to stand on the 18th position in the league table. The Foxes are now eyeing redemption and are looking for the right man to guide them, helping them to get out of the awkward position they are currently in and save their season.
Reportedly, Leicester City are eyeing some of the best managers in Europe and are willing to leave no stone unturned. The manager, who is targeted by the Foxes, has been the head coach of some of the best sides in Europe so far in his career. As shocking as it might sound, it is Carlo Ancelotti.
Regarded as one of the top managers in Europe, Ancelotti was sacked from the top job at arguably the best club in the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich, recently. The Bavarians won the title in the last term but were not able to perform as dominantly as they would have wanted throughout the season.
Since the start of the current season, the German giants looked in far from their best form in the domestic as well as European competitions under the stewardship of their former gaffer. And the loss to the French Ligue 1 club Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League, triggered the decision to sack the decorated Italian gaffer.
Upon his axing, Ancelotti declared that he will not be taking the charge of any club in the next 10 months and will be enjoying a prolonged vacation. The Foxes are, however, looking determined to bring the Italian mastermind to their club.
Having already won the domestic league, Leicester represents a decent opportunity but that might not be enough for Ancelotti to change his decision in the near future. Do you think Leicester can lure him?
