Bournemouth are in a spot of bother in the Premier League this season, having lost six out of the eight matches so far. They are now eyeing redemption and will look to bounce back in their next match against Stoke City, who are also disappointed after their battering at the hands of Manchester City in their last match at the Etihad Stadium.
The Cherries, who had a good campaign in the last season in the Premier League, were expecting to have a similar outing this term as well. However, it has turned out to be completely disappointing so far, already leaving them in the relegation zone only eight matches down the line.
The South Coast club might look to line up in this way:
Defence
The Cherries have looked far from their best since the start of the season and have faltered to perform in every department, including the defence. They have already conceded a dozen goals this season and are looking towards possible relegation from the top flight.
However, with players like Simon Francis, Steve Cook, Nathan Ake and Adam Smith, they will aim to revive their season and get out of the relegation zone with a win over a demoralised Stoke City, who faced an absolute predicament in their last match against the league leaders Manchester City.
Asmir Begovic will start in the goal for the Cherries.
Midfield
Bournemouth will look to put their disappointment behind this season and will aim to add some points to their tally to pull themselves out of the demoralising situation they currently are in the Premier League.
For that, their midfielders like Lewis Cook, Andrew Surman, Junior Stanislas and Charlie Daniels will have to perform out of their skins and get the much needed three points for their side from their next encounter against Stoke City.
Attack
There has been a serious drought of goals for the South Coast club as they have managed to put the ball in the back of the net only four times so far this season. Led by the likes of Jermain Defoe, who is expected to make a comeback to spearhead their attack and Joshua King, the Cherries will look to create some chances and lay the foundation to just their second victory this season.
Here is how they might line up:
