Newcastle United are looking to settle down in their new life in the top flight, having made a fairly good start to their season in the Premier League since their promotion from the second tier. However, they will have to keep improving, if they are to retain their place in the top flight for another season.
The Magpies were unable to do much of a business in the last transfer window but might look to make amends for that in the next transfer season that commences in January. Rafa Benitez is monitoring a number of new players and is sending scouts to various countries in search of some of the finest talents around.
One such player, who has attracted the eyes of a number of experts including that of the Newcastle manager, is the French whizzkid Nordine Ibouroi, who is currently playing for a non-league club Martigues in his native country.
The 19-year-old, who plays as a striker, is one of the most highly regarded youngsters in France and despite him not featuring in any of the top leagues so far, he has attracted interests from leagues around Europe.
Apart from Newcastle United, the player is being monitored by a number of top-flight clubs from all over Europe. Premier League club Stoke City are also on the trail of the player and are looking to lure him when the opportunity is right.
Other than these two, German club Cologne and French club Saint Etienne are also keeping a keen eye on the brilliant youngster for some time now. However, there has been no sign of any imminent moves from the above-mentioned clubs leaving the door open for the Magpies.
Known for his brilliant runs into the heart of the opposition defence, Ibouroi can be an ominous threat in the final third. He is also recognised as one of the best shooters in French football and has scored a scorcher recently against the reserve side of AS Monaco.
Apart from this, he is an accurate passer of the ball, helping his teammates to score goals. His ominous aerial ability gives him the upper hand over his opponents and he could be a good fit for an English club. But is Newcastle the right club for him?
